Well before we get onto the train, tickets for which we have already arranged through the train booking site IRCTC which is very user friendly by the way, we have to get organised in the way of equipment. The best way to go is to make a to do list so here we go

- A pair of trainers for when we are in camp
- thick socks - 4 pairs
- Underwear and round neck Tees
- Warm shirts at least two
- Long sleeved sweaters at least two
- A nice weatherproof jacket
- A balaclava to keep out the chilly wind
- A broad brimmed hat with a neck strap to prevent it flying away in those chilly winds
- Rain proof trousers
- Walking shorts at least two
- Warm leggings for the higher altitudes
- A raincoat
- A headlamp for use in the tent
- dark glasses with UV protection
